Carver Elementary Backpack Buddy Program

Backpack Buddy Program - What if?? What if you could only find a part time job paying less than minimum wage? No insurance? What if your child went to school on an empty stomach because you couldn't afford cereal and you knew they would get a morning meal there as well as lunch. Supper might be pretty meager but at least they had two nourishing meals a day. Then comes Saturday. And Sunday. No school breakfast or lunch. What if your child came home with packages of mac & cheese, small cans of soup, crackers and other items to help through the weekend. Would you feel God's love? Jesus said love your neighbor, feed my sheep. What if we did?? Items should be non-perishable and light enough for a child's backpack. Suggestions are on the flier on the bulletin boards and the bin for contributions is in the copy room.

Help Stock the Food Pantries

On the second Sunday of each month, when we celebrate the Lord's Supper, we also collect non-perishable food items for our local food pantries. Mark your calendars and bring your contributions to help us meet the need in our community.
Think Outreach when we gather to celebrate the Lord's Supper.
We will collect back buddies and food pantry items during communion. You are also encouraged to bring food items any time!
