Covenant Presbyterian Church

through action, contribution, and prayer.
At Covenant, we contribute to the Food Pantry with our bins in the narthex. In addition, the Community Food Drive provides a way to give for those who do not have a church. The instruction sheet included with the bags lists all the churches in the Wendell Council of Churches and lets our neighbors know who we are and where we are! Please continue to support the Food Pantry throughout the year and plan to help with the Community Food Drive next year. It only takes about an hour and does a world of good.
Handy Hands and Martha's Ministry
Handy Hands is a group available to help with home repairs and chores for those who find it difficult to mange by themselves. They have also installed several ramps for those with problems with mobility. When tackling projects, need is more important than ability to pay -- so donations are much appreciated. Martha's Ministry provides meals in time of need. If having a meal delivered would give you a lift, please let the church office know (919-365-7979). This may be the result of illness, stress or family issues. If you are able to help prepare and/or deliver meals, please call Jeannie, Kimberly or the church office.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
The knitters meet at 5:00 p.m. on the third Sunday of the month and create shawls and throws for comfort in time of need. New members are very welcome. No need to be an expert; experienced knitters are happy to help and share patterns. Yarn and some needles are available. Call Christine Mailliard at919-366-0883 for more information or if you know of anyone needing a shawl.
First Sunday Fellowship
Join members and visitors, welcome newcomers, and catch up with old friends on the first Sunday of the month. Lunch is served and everyone is welcome. There is no charge, but donations are welcome to help defray the costs of food.
Covenant Book Group
Join our extremely informal group as we get together for a little discussion and a lot of fellowship. The next meeting is at 41 North Coffee, 41 N. Main Street in Wendell. We wil be discussing The Code Girls by Liz Mundy. Come join us.
Covenant Dinner Group
Leave the cooking to someone else and join us for dinner on the last Saturday of the month at 7 p.m. Each month we will pick a different restaurant. Have questions? Contact Lisa Cauley or the church office.
